Obesity Wars: ‘Paleo’ the bottom up Revolution
Posted by Paleo Works
Some mornings I wake up I could be almost overwhelmed by the challenges ahead. The sheer scale of what we are up against (changing the mindset that 60 years of government and corporate propaganda have done, to reverse global policy on food provision and nutrition) awes me in the brief moment I feel it can’t be done. But then I remind myself of what it’s all about, together with Mike we believe fundamentally that Paleo works absolutely and the enormous changes it brings to every area of my our life and having not had this and then having this and by “this” I mean a profound sense of wellbeing and fitness, strength and delight it would be neither fair nor right not to spend every day telling you it is possible and that it is there for you for the taking.
We are absolutely passionate about this cause, we have the drive and energy to change what people eat, by changing the conventional wisdom around diet and weight loss.
We eat well. We eat a varied diet. We have seven children between us. We work. We wrestle with money. Today we struggle with a broken boiler and no heat. It’s everyday stuff but somehow it’s different. We respond to situations as and when they arise but somehow without the drama and by that I mean the shouting, the blame, the fear, the stress all the negatives which came from a negative diet: eating food that contributed nothing but negatives punctuated by the momentary salve of a quick hit of sugar. For every up there was a down and that hit quickly. We lived life like that for years and now we don’t.
And so I am here writing to you and telling you it is possible. It might be like throwing a pebble in the ocean but I will keep doing it because for those of you who are listening and who take the time to investigate these first principles, life will never be the same again.
Actually No, life has always been this way, it just got derailed by industry and the drive for profit…
